PingPup Terms of Service
Last Updated: October 21, 2026
Welcome to PingPup ("PingPup", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using our websites, services, applications, and APIs (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
PingPup provides distributed website availability monitoring, SSL/TLS certificate expiration tracking, DNS drift detection, multi-region Byzantine quorum consensus, and incident notification routing (including webhooks, email, and mobile push notifications).
2. Eligibility & Account Security
To use PingPup, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age or possess legal parental/guardian consent.
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and immediately notify us of any unauthorized access.
- Be responsible for all activities occurring under your authenticated credentials.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
PingPup is designed exclusively for authorized observability and performance telemetry. You agree not to:
- Use PingPup to perform Denial-of-Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, automated port-scanning, or unauthorized security penetration against target systems you do not own or have explicit authorization to monitor.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the PingPup edge mesh or third-party networks.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or access source code outside of open-source components.
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without an explicit Agency or Enterprise contract.
PingPup reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts immediately that violate this policy without prior notice.
4. Quorum Consensus & SLA Disclaimers
PingPup employs a multi-region Byzantine agreement engine across global edge nodes (Ashburn, Frankfurt, Singapore, and São Paulo) to minimize false-positive downtime alerts.
- While we strive for 99.99% service availability, we do not warrant that monitoring checks or alert deliveries will be uninterrupted, error-free, or instantaneous.
- Network latency, internet backbone transit outages, and third-party notification provider delivery delays are outside our direct control.
- Under no circumstances shall PingPup be liable for any revenue losses, downtime damages, or consequential liabilities arising from missed or delayed incident notifications.
5. Billing, Subscriptions & Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments handles payment processing, global tax compliance, and billing inquiries.
- By subscribing to a paid tier (Pro or Agency), you authorize recurring periodic charges to your designated payment method through Dodo Payments.
- Prices, inclusions, and quotas are displayed during checkout and in your Customer Billing Portal.
- Failure to settle recurring subscription invoices may result in quota downgrades to the Free tier.
- You can manage your payment methods, download invoices, or cancel subscriptions at any time via your Customer Billing Portal.
6. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time via the Customer Portal. PingPup reserves the right to suspend or terminate service to any user for abusive behavior, non-payment, or breach of these Terms.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
